613.319.2088The Muses—deities of inspiration, art, music, and celebration—are among the few mythological figures still relevant today across cultures. A Muse is often something or someone that sparks creativity, and in our case, we have two: wine and food. These two are intertwined, much like kin, and often inseparable. With these muses guiding us, our mission is to reshape the vocabulary and culture surrounding winemaking in Ontario, drawing inspiration from our European counterparts.
Just 1800 meters from this dining room, in the heart of Carp, and at the same latitude as Burgundy, France, lies KIN, our family-owned vineyard and winery. Here, we cultivate the northernmost Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the province. In France, supporting local is deeply embedded in their wine and food culture—a value we hold dear in Carp, though it is not yet as deeply ingrained in Ontario’s approach to wine and food.
At The Twin Muses, we aim to inspire through local art, wine, music, and food—each sourced and produced right here in our province. Our menu evolves with the seasons, showcasing the best of what local ingredients have to offer. Likewise, our rotating wine list highlights the exceptional cool-climate wines that Ontario is known for.

613.319.2088Ontario's most northern plantings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown just 1800m from The Twin Muses' location in the village of Carp.
There, our family owned and operated estate and winery, offers tastings, tours, and food parings over the course of the growing season on our one-of-a-kind "47-acre patio". We see thousands of new guests to our vineyard each year, many of whom claim, while expressing their pleasant surprise, that this is their first glass of Ontario wine. Which got us thinking; why is it that there exists a stigma around wine production in Ontario? Moreover, why does it seem like access to local produce in general is hindered by this mentality?
Through KIN we have had the pleasure of meeting and working with fantastic producers in both the wine and food industries, all crafting exceptional products and all extremely passionate about their craft.
With our Vineyard's patio being a seasonal endeavour, we have always dreamed of a way to provide the same unique and regionally focused experience to our KIN Community during the winter months. Thus, the Twin Muses was born of an idea to celebrate regional excellence by bringing together local wine and food in a way that is entirely new to the Ottawa Valley.
